I did not want to raise this topic again, but I had to. So, how to make repairs correctly or measure a hundred times – and only then … you yourself know what to do. How much has already been written on this topic in newspapers, and in magazines, and in specialized publications, and those who make repairs are less, unfortunately, does not become. I will not write about the repair of the whole house or apartment, we will stop, for example, only on the bathroom.
A fresh example of my usual working everyday life. A young couple comes. They just made repairs in the bathroom, lined all with decent tiles, put a plumbing, installed an excellent acrylic corner Czech bath.
About such a bath
In general, they came to choose a bath mixer. This is where it all started. It turned out that the conclusions of cold and hot water for the mixer are made where the bathtub has a shelf, that is, where from the wall to the bathtub bowl the largest distance.
Naturally, no “normal” mixer for such an option is suitable. Resentment and not very decent words fell towards the brigade, which made their repair. But, as it turned out, the builders are not to blame! First, customers planned to put an ordinary rectangular bath. Based on this, the builders made the necessary conclusions to connect the mixer. And after all this, friends advised the heroes of our “tragedy” to put not an ordinary bath, but to choose something more gently and “abruptly”. So they chose.
The mixer, of course, had to buy not at all the one that I wanted. As a result, it turned out not a very beautiful picture – in the bathroom with renovation, over a wonderful acrylic bathroom there is a mixer with a 350 mm rotary nose with a length. Comments are too much ..
The next very common incident. Old bath stands in a niche. People buy a new bathtub by the size of the old before the repair. Everything seems to be right. There is a bath, you can fit everything under it during the repair process. But life is full of surprises. They ripped off the old tiles, leveled the walls, put a new tile and … the bath does not fit in its place. The walls were crooked and, after aligned with plaster, the size of the room decreased.
And I’m not talking about such “trifles” as the conclusions of water or the supply of sewage for connecting the toilet. There are also enough pitfalls.
Therefore, I will tell everyone the phrase that has been filled with soreness: “Plan your repair! Consider all the nuances, consult with consultants in stores. Draw your room in detail and place all the necessary elements there. Remember that any unaccounted trifle can then turn into a headache.””
