A large fire occurred in the parking lot for used cars located in the American city of Indianapolis, as a result of which 40 cars burned down.
A video of the incident was posted on the Facebook page of the local fire department.
According to preliminary information, the fire could have occurred due to a lightning strike. The police are investigating all the circumstances of the incident.
Ten emergency service personnel were involved in the elimination of the fire. The fire was extinguished only two hours later. Moreover, a special tractor was brought in to rescue some cars from the fire.
The cars belonged to an insurance company. They were supposed to be sold at auction. Among them were such models as the Chrysler 200, the fourth-generation Chrysler minivan, the new Kia Soul, Jeep Renegade and Mercedes-Benz E-Class.
